We bring lawsuits. We defend lawsuits. We try to resolve our clients’ problems without bringing lawsuits. William Rudow uses his over thirty-five years of litigation experience to help clients resolve problems. Sometimes this requires bringing or defending lawsuits. Other times, William Rudow brings in a mediator to help resolve the problems. Other times, Mr. Rudow is able to resolve problems for his clients without the need to a lawsuit or mediator by approaching the issue in a warm, friendly, honest manner.
General Civil Litigation
The Rudow Law Group, LLC, has litigated hundreds of lawsuits. Mr. Rudow is licensed to practice in the state and federal courts in Maryland and Washington, D.C., state court in Utah, and federal court in Michigan. Mr. Rudow has been lead counsel in complex cases in federal courts in the following jurisdictions: Arizona, California, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New York, Pennsylvania, & Texas, West Virginia, and 11th Circuit, Court of Appeals.
Consumer & Commercial Collections
At The Rudow Law Group, LLC, we have performed many Collections related Lawsuits, Forbearance Agreements and Negotiated Settlements to protect our clients’ rights . We have litigated, attended and negotiated many Bankruptcy cases assisting creditors and debtors in Chapter 7s, Chapter 13s, and Chapter 11s. We provide Litigation Defense for our lender clients as well as on and off site Training and Regulatory Assistance. We routinely give Legal Advice to our collections related clients.
Auto Finance – Consumer & Commercial
One area that we specialize in is auto finance recovery. This includes Collections, Vehicle (auto, mobile home, manufactured house, boat) Recovery (replevins), Bankruptcy (lift stay), Litigation Defense, on and off site Training and Regulatory Assistance. We routinely give Legal Advice to our auto finance related clients.
Fraud Recovery
William Rudow was the Chairman of the Mortgage Fraud Task Force for the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators. Mr. Rudow personally litigated over 78 lawsuits involving over 200 loans against over 600 defendants in Mortgage Loan Fraud Recovery, appraiser and title company malpractice lawsuits.
The Rudow Law Group, LLC has represented the FDIC, several national banking associations and community banks in Bank Fraud Recovery lawsuits..
Training
The Rudow Law Group has provided extensive training in Collections, Litigation, Bankruptcy, Fraud Recovery, Mortgage Fraud Identification and Recovery. In 2000 Mr. Rudow founded Collections Consultants, LLC a group that presented Mortgage Fraud Prevention training and seminars. This group trained several lenders across the country – from Reno Nevada to Jacksonville Florida to Baltimore Maryland, to Indianapolis Indiana.
Bankruptcy – Creditor Rights
William Rudow has litigated many cases in the Bankruptcy Court. These include: lift stay 11 U.S.C. § 362, cram down secured collateral value 11 U.S.C. § 506(a), avoid lien 11 U.S.C. § 522(f), determine the dischargeability of debt 11 U.S.C. § 523, dismiss or conversion 11 U.S.C. § 727, preference action 11 U.S.C. § 547, fraudulent transfer, 11 U.S.C. § 548; objection to plan 11 U.S.C. § 1325.
